Hey guys, im trying to hook a monster tacho up in my corolla, but what i thoughtwas my negative ignition coil.....appeared to do nothing.

on this picture of my engine bay....could you please point it out to me.

heya dude, i can help.
dont run the tacho off the negative side of the ignition coil, go to the other side of the engine bay, to where the little DIAGNOSIS box is and on the back of that little box is a small female spade terminal, plug it into there and WALA!!! you have instant pulse. This small terminal is used for tuning and testing with and external tacho/rpm gauge. This is what is did in my SX seca with a phantom 5" shift light tacho, and it worked like a charm.

the DIAGNOSIS box is located just between the air box and the strut brace on the passengers side of the car, its just a small black box.
just thought some directions might help if you were unsure.
