just a really quick question, i heard that it was unwise to "cut" your springs? is this true?
not trying to discredit your sale or anything, just interested.

it is unwise to cut them poorly
if done properly it further lowers the car, increases spring strength and won't compramise handling, infact increasing it...

Because the spring rate is:
11250000 x wire diameter*4
8 x no. active coils x coil diameter*3
But with that said, i'd agree with simon and just get springs at the correct length and rate to begin with.

2.8kg/mm? i thought trd's would be stiffer and lower if theyre still around in a few weeks ill snap em up. how do they compare to kings?

they are the street spring, not the race one so thats why they are softer...
as i was planning to do... cut them
they are lower and harder than my old kings

48131-AE811 K=27.4N/mm
48231-AE811 K=26.5N/mm
im guessing N is newtons so divide by 9.8 to get kg/mm
therefore front are 2.8kg/mm and rear are 2.7kg/mm
and phrostbite, i dont think they are pics of the actual springs
