1jzgte questions

is the 1jz out of a 89-92 supra. or is it out of a 93+ supra.
i want to import a 89 or 90 supra from japan and i wasnt sure what engine cam stock in the japan supra's
is it the 3L turbo or the 2.5L twin turbo.

Its either gonna be the 3L 7M-GTE or a 2.5L 1JZ-GTE or a 2L 1G-GTE.

Yes it is. Fitted in the JZA70... Use Google and Search feature of this forum to find more info... The 7MGTE was fitted in the MA70 & MA71. The 1GGTE was fitted in the GA70...

I didn't think the JZA70's started production until 1990... Anyone would like to correct me? So I'd say that it is a MA70 - 7MGTE engine or a GA70 - 1GGTE engine...

JZA-70 Supra was first produced in April 1990. 
Check the DOTARS website, I am afraid you have just missed out on getting one into Australia under the now defuct 15 year old rule. 
While you are checking the Dotars website, have a look and see if anyone has RAWS for the JZA-70, as that will now be your only avenue of getting one fron Japan. That being said, there are a few JZA-70's 4 sale at the moment, including one on these forums.
