I finally got my suspension fixed, it had various problems...

Is it normal for the car to be really, really, really floaty at highish speeds? it's gripping well through corners, but just on straights it gets pretty floaty, like it's being knocked around by the wind.

Also, getting the standard suspension to standard spec and running perfectly well.. is well, realllly good! it feels like i've got a totally new suspension setup, I haven't had a chance to push it yet.

umm not sure about with wind but ive had mine at 160 and it felt pretty fine.
But it is a small light car so id say wind could push it around a bit at high speeds

What rake did you set with the new suspension? if the front isnt set right then at anything over about 70Kmh the sprinter will get a little airy due to it having such a light front end to start with.

i find driving on the freeway n such on an extremely windy day, the car will be blown around.

First, u can hear thei wind gushing against your car, then u notice the car move left or right [dependin the direction of the wind of course]

hm, yeah actually now that I think about it, I don't think it was the wind (totally anyway), I'm not sure what settings I got done, I just said "fix it please" ..

It's really light handling now, and damn easy to drive, I don't think it was the wind because it was sorta swaying from left to right to left to right.

Is that a really bad thing? should I go down n get them to adjust it?

They replaced and repaired from left control arm, repaired a few other things, I replaced a buckled rim, and have four new tyres on. They did a fair bit of work to align/ballance.

What settings are preferable for a totally stock aus spec ae86 with a 4ag?
