fuel lines.. Sun, 24 November 2002 00:51 Go to next message
Currently doing 4A-C to 100kw 4age conversion on my ae86... I was wondering whether I need to upgrade the fuel line ???
also, for the fuel pump, it's a bit hard to find a ae82 fuel pump, so I was wondering what other fuel pump would be fit into ae86 fuel tank with minimal modification ??

Cheers

!!!!!! Very Happy

nup you don't need to upgrade fuel lines, other than changing the rubber ones to efi hoses.
ae82 fuel pump shouldn't be hard to find, try pick & payless if your in sydeny, you will also need the bracket it comes in cos yours doesn't have one.
Or you can run an external pump.

Form what I've been able to fing out, when upgrading from a 4A-C to a GE, you shouldnt need to change the fuel lines. Only if you are doing some major work to the engine.

Just a side note to the fuel pump, dont forget that tanks that are for an EFI setup usualy have different baffles in them due to the pickup on an intank fuel pump being different from a non efi pick up. Note i said usualy. worth looking into.

Craig.
