Turbos / Oil Shortage

I was cleaning out my engine bay a couple of days ago and noticed this kink in my high pressure oil line to the turbo. After just recently having my exhaust manifold repaired which required taking off the turbo etc. I took it back and showed the guy who did the mechanical work. He said it wouldnt have caused any harm to the turbo if I hadnt noticed anything major wrong with drivability which I hadnt.
I have driven around for about 2-2.5 weeks with the line like this, what are your opinions on this, could this have caused any damage to the turbo, I am also concerned about the long term effects, even though I am not having any issues with it now could this cause problems down the track because of the lack of oil.
Anyway heres the pics, appreciate any help regarding this matter, as I am not so sure what I should do, or whether to be worried or not.

Cheers,
Mitch.

Yea I have got the kink in the line sorted, just needed to be adjusted, just concerned whether this is likely to cause damage, whether it be long term aswell.
Cheers,
Mitch.

if the turbine bearings had run dry at some point you would have heard about it ... metal-on-metal at extremely high rpm has a unique sound
if you are concerned, pull of the inlet hose and see how much lateral shaft movement you have.
If you're really concerned - use some kind of dial-out measuring thingo to get an exact measurement then ask the people who hi-flowed the turbo what the shaft play should be given it's usage/life-since-rebuild.

Cheers for the info.
Any other opinions in relation to the kink and whether it could have caused problems.

Mitch.

you mean the "reaching in and pulling out your spinal cord" kind of screech?
if you were totally anal you could dismantle the turbo and check for contact on the bearing surface... or just measure the shaft movement first
sure it _could_ have caused problems, but only if the oil supply to the turbo was lower than the oil needed. if the restricted supply still had enough flow/pressure to get enough oil to the turbo, then you are fine..
thats abotu all there is to it

yup - it's kind of like a fuken loud dentist's drill under the bonnet
how do i know this? because my old turbo would let the compressor wheel sometimes touch the compressor housing... with my old draw-thru carbi setup , if i rev'd it too high with the choke on full, the suction it created in the chamber between turbo and carbi would pull the wheel forward.
first time you hear it, you know you've just commited yourself to spending a whole wack of cash on a new turbo.

Thanks both for your help, I havent heard any bad noises or noticed anything different, might just check shaft play and most likely leave it at that.
Cheers,
Mitch.
