Hi guys, im a new member to the club (not financial, yet!). I live in the Wollongong area and am interested in getting invloved in the club. I have a blue TA22 that was previuosly at one time owned by a member of the club by the name of Ruben. From what I haveread in the forums, few of you know this car! I am keen to keep it involved in the club and add my own touchs to it time to come. If there are any members in the wollongong are that would like to get in touch to tell me a little more about the club and help get me invloved that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Welcome to the club !
This wouldn't happen to be a dark blue Celica from the northern suburbs would it ?
If so, I think I've seen you drive past my house a couple of times lately.

Great Idea!!! Come to the Gong cruise man... It's true that you will meet a lot of Toymodders aswell as any others that decide to come along for the drive...
Just to verify my thoughts, is this Celica the Blue/Purple one with the Online stickers??? If so, you have picked up an awesome car man...
Congrats on the new TOYOTA and welcome to Toymods!!! Hope you get what you are looking for from this club... Beware as there are a lot of members here that know how to spend YOUR money...

The 3t-2t hybrid engine in my celica goes alright but nothing too special. I actually was quite dissapointed with the performance when i picked it up, which has spawned the idea for the 4agze transplant. Apparently the dellorto carbs on it are off an old alfa romeo and they doent really work too well on the setup i have. My mechanic said that with a decent set of webbers on it, it would go much better but I cant justify spending the money on those when im saving for the transplant. it has been set up to run PULP which is good but the performance is still lacking I got only about 33rwkw when i had it dynoed. I may be interested in letting it go for the right price?

My reasons for the 4agze r simple but not yet 100% confirmed, i wanted to put a twin turbo six in but as we all know it wont fit easily into the ta22, then in basically came down to four engines the; sr20det, sIV13B turbo, or either the 20 valve or supercharged variants of the 4age. I choose the 4agze which will be running a turbo not the factory supercharger for the simple reason that it is a solid performer from the factory has strong factory issued internals, theres lots of info and easy formulas out there for building good reliable 150+rwkw motors out of the things and apparently they are the easiest to fit out of the bunch that I had in mind. My thoughts also stretched as far as the lexus 4.0lt V8 but ince that and the 13B rotor have been deemed illegal in this state of NSW i was left with either the 200sx motor or the 4agze. I dont particularily want to go to some of the old 3t turbos and since ive read afew articles on people who ahve put the 4agte motor in ta22 (namely yogi) i decided this to be the way to go. Oz_Craig I dont have ICQ or msn to be perfectlt honest I dont even know what they are. If nyone has any info regarding possible engine transplants that i could consider or any other info that may contradict my thoughts of what is the easiest engine to fit than I would greatly appreciate the discussion.

kewl sounds awesome
i will be doing a 4agze conversion also if i can get one off a mate (stuffing me around a bit)

icq and msn are instant messengers they you use to communicate with people

Im not sure what these motors are worth its had a bit done to it which unfortunately at the momment hasnt resulted in a big power hike, the gearbox is great with an upgraded clutch and so forth. Im wouldnt interested in selling it till i get the 4agze into it which would be around feb next year. any ideas what there worth???

Hey Simon,
Yeah, I'm Tusi's little bro
i like your new plates on the Soarer,

haha, i see you round alot, your always cruising with your girl,
how's your bro, got Kym pregnant yet or is he still trying to figure out if he can run it under LINUX, (Don't tell him i said that)
For Anyone else, i putt around in a AE92 sedan, once i come back from South Korea, a 4AGZE or 3SGTE engine is going in and i can't wait

Thought it was you mate. How are things going ?
Yeah, I know the plates don't suit the car, they are from my old one, and just fitted them to mine a little while ago.
Want to sell them soon and get some different plates.

Yeah he mentioned at the last cruise that he was interested in the plate. Haven't heard much about it since though. Not sure what happened.
Should PM him and see.
