I'll have to find it once i get home, but its out of a supra, i bought it but now dont need it haven't even got it out of the box yet.

I'll give you the code when i'm home. Is there any code on the diff itself? if so i'll pass that on also.

If it's out of a JZA70, then it will be a torsen with 4.10 ratio.

Also... the code is on the build plate on the firewall in the engine bay.

would the diff fit into an ST141 Corona '84? The original diff has nearly kicked the bucket from a recent engine swap to an 18-RGU. also, would it be legal too?

To answer a couple of questions that were raised before,

If you have a JZZ3# or UZZ3# Soarer (91/05 onwards), then what you should be looking at is a diff out of a JZA80 Supra. They came in the open and Torsen LSD flavours with different final drive ratios and gear sizes. If you happen to look at the diff code (ex: A01B), if the last letter is a B, then it is a Torsen LSD and else if it is an A, then it's an open type. LSD was optional on NA JZA80 Supras while standard equipment on TTs.

As for the G-series diff in question, this is a very tough diff indeed and it is a clutch type LSD. (I know a bloke in Melbourne who's got a G-series diff transplanted to a very powerful Mazda he races). If you are looking for the Torsen type G-series LSD (which came in JZA70 Supras), look at the diff code and the last digit would be a 9 (3 or 5 for LSD, open if different).

Hope this helps to clear out some confusion...

Cheers

did toyota have any diffs covered in finns??? the one i got is rumered to be a TRD mechanical lsd i find it doent back off enough through cornering though causing to much loss of traction but when the car is pointing straight and you plant it hold on!!!! ohh mine is 4.6's

i might drop the arse alittle more now

Are you sure you want to??? the jzx81 comes with a 3.9 limmo already just glx cressidas didn't and since the jzx81 is not eligible for import into australia i'm asuming you have glx like me which came with 3.9's universal Smile i'm also asuming your in australia but if you are

the internals are the same... get a rattle gun some salastic (or selent of choice:)) and a new front seal and get cracking
