Turbo Seals Wed, 18 May 2005 15:24 Go to next message
I just bought a ep71 with a 4efte in it, there seems to be some oil coming thru the stock plumb back blow off valve. Its definately coming from the CT9 and a mate told me that the oil seals need replacing.

What does it cost to get the seals replaced and would i be better off buying a new turbo instead?

Its only a very small amount and doesnt blow smoke(it has once after a hard test drive for a mate), so will these damage my engine at all as the seals get worse or will it just dump oil into the exhaust and limit the turbos efficiency.

Thanks
Kyle.

It's normal for any turbo to seep oil once they've got a few km's under their belt. Don't worry about it if it's not blowing smoke.
