I use HQ rear shocks on my TA22 , they are shorter than the TA shocks which allowes to use lowered springs without the springs dropping off the spring pads when the suspension is fully extended .

Koni shocks are way shorter than standard shocks anyways, with a koni in the back of a 22-28 you can have the car sitting nice and low without any problems. Its a real pitty that koni have changed their online part catalouge, as it used to list shocks for early model celicas but now it doesnt

i have been told that torana sunbird shocks are a good match for the rear of the 23/28 they are well matched to lowered springs.
i was told this by king springs suspension engineer who raced/setup some of these cars previously.
