there is a fella over here that enters the drift in his 4ac powered ae86, he entered the Melb drift nats and ranked pretty highly considering other cars had about 3-4 times as much power, trust me, he gets crazy angles

i believe he has just added a cold air induction and advanced the timing Wink

Sure can. It's called nitrous oxide.

Generaly, to get power out of the 4A-C (or any motor), would be to get rid of the little carby, get twin sidedrafts. Get rid of little exhaust, get extractors and 2" system. And use a longer duration cam.

If someone got 94rwkw, then I believe that. But thats probably the max limit of the 4A-C. This is close to 150hp at the fly. It takes some work getting the same power from a 2T-G.

I paid $400 for an AE82 4AG+ECU, it puts out 74kw at the wheels even after 12 months of my abuse. I really can't see the value in fiddling with a 4AC unless you're hell bent on making a point! Plus most 4AC's I've seen seem to have a tremendous appetite for head gaskets, except for the one I maybe should admit to owning once... Which, incidently, I even managed to make go (slightly) harder, plus overheated it on a daily basis. And to my knowledge it's still plugging away in an AE71... (I gave it away to someone who couldn't afford a replacement)
