My phone is too advanced for me Sat, 21 May 2005 14:08 Go to next message
Hmm I just purchased a Nokia 6670 because my contract was about to expire and I wanted to upgrade from my 7250 but I don't know if it's possible to get all my pictures off the 7250 and on to the 6670. My boyf transferred my contacts from one phone to the other but it says nothing about messages etc. Any ideas???

you can mms them from your 7250, or you can email them, or if you have a data cable, you can put them on your computer. cant help you with the messages, sorry.

edit: you *might* be able to infra-red the piccies too.

you'll get your head around the new phone in a few days. those new nokias are daunting and complicated at first, but after a while its pretty simple.

to infra red the pic (which wouild be the easiest way other than data cable) you go to the pic you want to send (on your 7250) then go to options, then send, then via infra red, then line up the infra red thingies on your phones (make sure infra red is turned on on your 6670) and the file will transfer.

I didn't think that my phone had infra red. Maybe I'll wait until my boy comes back inside and then get him to see if he can figure it out. Back to watching the Poker game on tv Very Happy

Have you tried reading the manual ?

Been having a look see at http://www.nokia.com.au on both phone specs and it looks about the best way is in using the 7250's data cable and download your stuff onto the computer and then get a memory card for the 6670 and download the things onto it. But apart from that....... you might just have to do a little seaching through the nokia site like Ask Nokia

if you dont want to spend 60-100 dollars on a genuine nokia data cable, infra red is the way to go, and yes both phones have infra red. even my old non colour screen 8210 from 5 years ago had infra red.

Infra red is old, bluetooth is current which is slowy getting phased out for WiFi or something like that.

The 8210 also came with voice dialling.
Its a shame that the 7250 didn't come with bluetooth otherwise it would have easier

I think that was one of the first things my boyf said - did you read the manual. I was like hey, I just thought I'd try and figure it out on my own coz half the stuff I'm looking for isn't in there or doesn't make sense.

So glad it's almost the weekend. YAY no more work for me......until Monday Sad
