hey guys, just before i get started.. yes i've searched, but i still have a few quick questions.
the 1g, will bolt to the standard RA engine mounts (replacing with neoprene) assuming the engine mounts on the block are in the right spot?
how hard to change the engine mounts on the block?
5mm spacer on drivers side mount needed to clear steering box?
g'box xmember needs 2 holes drilled?
does anyone know what engine mount position and sump type come in the markIII GZ supras? JDM i think.
also can anyone suggest easy EFI pump set up? lift pump, injector pump etc... 2L surge tank ok?
cheers guys

Geez, is that page still hanging around?!?!
Wonder how many people have tried to send me an e-mail using darren_c@one.net.au
Mr Adler probably gets to have a laugh at them in prison.

Hey that article is a godsend. It shall live on forever!
Yeah the only thing not specified in it is the mounts. When I got my engine (from a GA70) it had cast iron mounts, which are totally different to the plate metal ones you need. The ones you need look like the original 18R mounts.

reckon those mounts will be readily available from wreckers?
since you got yours from a GA70, what sump did it have? was the engine mounts in the right position?

No idea on the availability of the mounts, but I heard once on these forums that someone ot a set made up my a metal worker for like 40 bucks each, he just needed a set to copy from. I was lucky and a set poped up just as I needed them.
The auto GA70 my engine came with the wrong mounts but the right sump. Just required some hammer work to get it clear.
I'm in need of a new engine soon, are they still real easy to find? last I checked they were around $600 without ecu and wiring. Knowing my luck I'll put the car back together and won't be able to find another engine...

Hi, my 1GGZE came from a Crown with the right mounts, just needed a mid-rear sump. I think SSS automotive have a fair few parts for these, probably a variety of mounts too.

cool... looks like that's sorted...
just one more thing... (serious) suggestions for fuel set up?
i think i'll need a custom surge tank, 'cause QLD rules state you can't have the tank or lines in the boot... so i'll have to mount it on the left side of the exhaust.. under the car, what about fuel pumps? i got a quote for a bosch 400hp EFI pump $350... sound fair? what about lift pump?
