hey.
the bushes for my front control arms in my lx80 cressida have shat themselves
am i correct in assuming these are the same as in the mx83's?
how bout the mx73???
any ideas how much new ones may be. i quote from toyota... $56 each.. + tax
which i thought was pretty damn high... but dunno.. haven't been able to find anywhere else
If they are indeed the same as MX83, then get nolathane ones.
Either Noltec, SuperPro, or Lovells should all make them.
Expect about $40-$50 for the pair.
when yoy say pressed out, you mean out of the actualy control arm don't you.. which shouldn't be too hard coz the whole arm can come off hey.
speaking of which is it much trouble getting the bottom of the shock strut off the control arm
Getting the LCA off the car is not really an issue.
There are many bolts
1 LCA to Crossmember
1 LCA to swaybar
2 LCA to strutbar
2 Steering arm to strut (Steering arm is pressed into balljoint ,which inturn is pressed into LCA)
And then get the tierod off.
Its just pressing the old bush out of the LCA and pressing the new bush into the LCA that needs to be done with a hydralic press.
