3TC bearings are often used, only difference is that the big end conrod bearings need to have the oil feed hole re-drilled in the correct spot.

I'm sure there must be a supplier somewhere in Aus that can still supply proper 3TGTE parts though... at a cost perhaps

	 tanman

Where do we get these readily available MLS (multi layer steel) headgaskets, i have played with the copper route, they are fine 'if' you get them to seal properly, im keen to give one of these MSL's a go.

Cometic make a MLS head gaskets for T-series motor.
Was a bit off on the price though (US dollars) should be about $100 AUS dollars. I will find out soon I guess as my motor is being assembled next week

The head gasket for the 2T G is the same. DO NOT use the 3T-C or 2T head gasket.

I like tanmans line of thought on the multi layer steel - if they're available, then hop to it!

I use stock type head gasket with O ringed cylinder head with head studs.

finaly got around to contacting the local cometic distributor.
They do a .040 MLS for the 2TC/3TC engine for a 87 or 89mm bore
For the 2TG/3TG they only do a .051 CFM-20 in a 87 mm bore only.
Cometic head gaskets through Serco are around AU$190 and expect a 4 week wait

I ended up buying a HKS 2TG/3TG bead type MLS headgasket .040 90mm bore for AU$173 only took 3 days direct from Japan (the local HKS distributor is useless)

Just got to sort some head studs now
