Advantage: you get an extra 150cc or thereabouts.
Disadvantage: it costs money.
I'm not really sure what you're asking here?

A bit more torque would be the bonus of increasing the stroke.
Along with the increase in fuel use
But like Norbie - more info would be nice

personally i rather have a engine with more cc than more rpms, in the long run it gets boring having to rev the shit outa the engine to be able to produce power, so if u get the engines for aprox the same buck, i would go for the 3tg. a standard 2t-g is piss weak from 1000-4000rpms, wich is a big negative thing for me, but like i said, thats my personal opinion

well of course the 2tg revs harder with less stroke because it has less stroke, therefore revs harder now capacity is one of the better mods to do! to try and maintain the same revving characteristics you need to bore out the stroked motor to bring it to the same squareness :
"In Japan, there was a racing version of the 2T called 2TG. ... The eight valve engine is built to rev, with the oversquare dimensions of 85mm bore and 70mm"
now when you stroke that motor you reduce the squareness, so to stroke the motor and keep the oversquare ratio you increase both sides of the ratio to keep it the same ratio, ie increase the bore too.
oversquare is when the bore is bigger than the stroke and this makes a very revvy engine and is quite desirable as appossed to an undersquare engine which is not very revvy but creates more torque due to its longer stroke.
nice history and tech of the 2tg etc

A 3TG is still oversquare !
You won't notice any less reviness !
More cubes.. More torque.. More smiles
