hey all, im thinking about getting a GT4 celica, and just had a few question. I wanted to know what the difference between the 3s-gte 1st gen and the 3rd gen.

Can i get the same sort of power out of the 1st gen or would it be better to get a 3rd gen??

search search search!

In short, with enough money, the power is unlimited. So you better put a price cap on it to make any kind of sense.

In terms of stock for stock, with 'bolt ons' then the Gen3 will make more power.

I agree. If you have the chance GEN III hands down unsless you have deep pockets to mod the GEN I.

Gen 2 blocks are the Ideal 3SGTE to modify for big KW's. The 'bigport' TVIS style head when coupled with a custom tuned intake and exhuast manifolds flows more CFM than all 3 gens. the Gen 3 is more powerful out the box due to ECU tuning, different Cam profiles and a slightly bigger turbo.

but yes, search and you shall find Very Happy
