Wondering if there is a better or worse 3T im chasing for my 3tg rebuild and if so what did they come out in?

The 3T did also come out with a EFI version 3TEU (which I have) and another one, 13T low compression truck motor thing. Bottom end on these is strong anyway. Just replace your conrod bolts with ARP items.
