WANTED: Celica ST162 SX White Lightning in NSW
Ideally looking for the above - or any other '88-'89 model SX. Must be in mechanically good shape with service history. Prefer original, stock car, with not more than 200,000kms.
Willing to pay up to $4500, maybe more, for the right car.
I'm located in Sydney - will not (generally speaking) travel interstate.

the difference i've noticed is the interiors are different, and the body is colour coded, and they only come in white? that part i'm just guessing.

The White Lightning Celica was one of those end-of-model-runout special editions that are often released to keep sales going just before the release of the replacement model. It was released in 1989, not long before the ST184 was due to replace it.
Mechanically identical to any other ST162, just cosmetics (white colour coding, decals) and accessories (I think they included a sunroof, GT4 seats and cruise on the auto version) to differentiate them from the rest.
Toyota did the same thing in 1993 with the WRC Trophy Celica when the ST184 was soon to be replaced with the ST204.
