afm and BOV location when using turbo Thu, 26 May 2005 06:20 Go to next message
Hi i was just wondering where you locate the afm when converting the gze to turbo. Does the afm go between the intercooler outlet and the throttle body; after the turbo or between the air filter and turbo. I just get confused because if the AFM was after the cooler then the measured air temperature would be different than if the AFM was just after the filter.
Im not exactly sure so its best to ask someone who is.
oh and also where would i plumb in a recurculating BOV.
thanks
Tim

AFM should be between air filter and turbo.

AFM goes after airfilter and before the turbo

Plumb a recirculating BOV in after the turbo compressor (close to throttle body if possible, but make sure it is before the throttle body Wink ) and have it vent back in after the AFM (but before the turbo).

Clear?
