i've got a tacho with no instructions
one red wire
one black wire
one green wire
one white wire

thinking red to positve, black to negative, green and white to the coil? any help would be great.

i'm pretty sure it is:

RED - positive acc power
BLACK - ground
GREEN - to tacho output/coil
WHITE - headlight switch, to illuminate the face.
