Celica ST184 piping...? Thu, 26 May 2005 15:49 Go to next message
Hi, I'm just wondering about a pipe or hose on my car...my car's a 1991 Toyota Celica ST184...? The pipe is like the main big one connecting the 'EFi' module on the top of the engine...to what I think is the air box or air intake thing....? Like...what is that called and usually how much does it cost to get a replacement one of these...? I'll leave a photo of whereabouts it is in the engine...and hopefully can get a better photo later on...I just want to know how much it would be to replace this as I have heard it can cost up to $100+ which I think is really silly for just piping...but yeah...if anyone know's where I could get one...for how much...and even if they could sell me one...I'd be really greatful..thanks. Actually...I thought I knew how to insert pictures but I guess I don't... Embarassed if anyone knows what I'm talkign about could you please help me? Thanks.

yeah i know what you're talking about. that piece is pretty expensive, close to, or over $100 if i remember correctly(from toyota of course). i dunno where else you could buy a replacement though.
or else you could switch over to a pod filter setup, but that would make your car defect-able.

That pipe is more like $200+ from Toyota.

Unfortunately you will find that the diameters are different at each end, which makes it hard to buy flexi pipe off the shelf.
