I remember when I was a kid you could buy these metal things at the "joke shop" (Granny Mays etc) called Exhaust whistles. Basically you jammed it in the end of a cars exhaust and it made it sound like shit. On numerous occassions when people came over to our house I would sneak outside and shove it in their exhaust. Then when it came time to leave and they started their car I would say it sounded strange, they would think so too and start to think something was wrong with their car.
Now how on earth did a product that was a joke (ha ha funny) evolve into a product that is a JOKE (sad funny).
