AE92 n AE101 4AGZE; how do you tell apart? Fri, 27 May 2005 10:48 Go to next message
I browsed through the Sherwood's forrest of 4age info and couldnt find what I needed.
I want to be able to distinguish between a ae92 gze engine and an ae101 (after used as conversion so not using the cars to tell the difference bleh).
I know bout have coils and map sensor and smallport.
HELP?

hmm obviously there is the early and late 92 gze. But the late 92 and 101 gze would be hard to distinguish. The 101 had a twin exhaust a believe hence it made 4 or so more kw. No good to you but. If the loom hasnt been cleaned up there is probably a lot more shit hanging around a 101 with climate control etc. Although ae92 probably came with that stuff aswell. Good question im sure someone will no.

Check the date printed on the plug leads. That's the manufacture date. It's also printed on every wire in the loom.
