1. Im pretty sure you will need the rear type sump
2. Turbo choice is all about what you want to do with the car, i.e. do you want a horsepower hero, drag car or nice responsive setup.
3. Id use the 22r mounts, make plates to adapt from engine to top of 22r mount.
4. Once again what is the purpose of the vehicle.
6. You are gonna have limited room, baragain on using a thermo fan
7. Suck and see. If the pedal effort is too much then do something about it, but i think get a stock manual hilux setup.
8. You may need to extend hole for different shifter position, thats about it.
9. No if you are having single turbo.
11. Get the halfcut with the required sump setup.
12. Linked to 2, how much power you after and what do you want to do with the car?
13. Standard diff will be G series and will take the punishment. What is your code on the plate in the engine bay, this will tell you whether it is LSD ratio etc.

Sorry about taking so long to reply, ive been away from a computer, well engine and old loom is out and engine bays have a new coat of paint put onto it so she looks shiney now, all im after is a nice crusier of a night time and a bit of weeekend work, so basicallly a nice responsive setup which starts making boosa around the 1800mark so you can crusie off boost, has any one here put a bigger rad in and cooler what size do you need to run to keep her cool

1. Sump Position (Front, Middle, Back)back
2. Single turbo conversion - best turbo size and type depends on money , i ran a 7mgte ct26 for a while 200rwhp)
3. Engine Mounts use stock rubbers with adaptor plates
4. Gearbox Manual/Auto not sure best optionauto easier and cheaper to source
5. Wiring Problems/ Speedo Sensor etcwiring depends on ecu factory or aftermarket
6. Intercooler/Radiator positioning450x300x76 seems to be a good choice ( also known as hybrid $400 or so )
7. Clutch Master Cylinder/Slave -boring due to heavier clutch - positioningdont stress .. never giving me any probs
8. Gear Shift linkages/ holes in floor neededcut out the floor a bit with jigsaw or tinsnips
9. any firewall modification neededdepends where u wanna mount ya eng , but i bash the hell out of mine to get it as far back as possible
10. any radiaor support modification due to bigger radiator fitment and which rad size in particular easy , just go a jza70 supra one .. easy fit
11. Which 1jz half cut to get jzz30, jzz70 ???jza70 supra .. also easier to find a manual cut
12. if manual which clutch type - 5puck, organic, RPM Heavy dutyi ran a 5 puck brass , but u can run whatever
13. Diff change and appropriate rations
ratios work well from 3.9 - 4.3

yep , tailshaft modded , just cut off the old yoke and get tailshaft made to correct length with the 1jz style yoke .. alot of tailshaft shops do this . costing around $400 or so
gear mount , again depends on manual or auto .. just req and mount , or modifying the mount to suit .. nothin too hard
brakes .. r33 4 spots go on with a 20mm spacer and the hub machined down about 2-3 mm to fit the disc over the top of the hub .. ( the wheel then holds the disc on )

DazbaVBZ what is a 91 spacecab hilux worth approx and how much did you get yours for with the blown motor?
Have you thought about who is going to make you a turbo manifold or where you will find one if you are after a pre fab (2nd hand jap) one? That is the most trouble with a 1J single turbo conversion I think. Big dollare for a custom one or hard to find a second hand one.
Any pics of your ute - Sounds like it is going to be awesome!

Actually single turbo 1jz kits are more readily available these days through places like Importbitz etc.
