I dont have much room in my tunnel.
The T50 just fits in. Is the w50 smaller across the guts than a W58, or any similar box to use in a Dat 1200 ute?
Thanks
Normo

W50 and w58 would be about the same I reckon. Not certain though.

Yep the W50 and W55/6/7/8/9 will basically occupy the same space. My recommendation would be to go for the W55/6/7/8/9, as you can buy a bellhousing and run a larger clutch for a 4AGE with it. I feel either box will require the same modifications to fit to your ute. The other advantage of the later model "Oval Cased" box style is the availability of different ratios in the various boxes.

Street Commodores, July 2002

R154 got 8/10 but I can't remember what non-toyota boxes got.

Unless you can get a 4A to W50 bellhousing, use a W58.

You can buy those bellhousings.

If you have the boltupness sorted, just use the W50
