even if the motor is shagged, the manifold, turbo, flywheel and clutch are worth what he's asking.

its not so much the point. this is his 2nd post for the same part, and hasnt answered a single question on either. i would sure like to know what it is im buying. a shagged BHG 7m with a big, leaky, sloppy, chewed out turbo with no blades left and a housing looks like a carpet mat and a fucked clutch. BARGAIN!!

Perhaps he doesn't have time to get on the net alot. I have been in this same position before. and three weeks later there like 10 post wondering where I am when it cleary says 'call' for enquiries.
If your so keen on finding out, why don't you call him? Or is a phone call too pricey?
Why do people even look at posts like this if they cant afford to make a call, why not save your 2 dollars towards your next meal, rather than dreaming of a performance engine.
I have no idea who this guy is, and have no particular interest in this sale after reading the particulars, but i have been in similar situations to this and find no relief from whingers protesting that they cant get info on an item for sale when there is clearly a phone number provided. dont whinge on the post just make the damn call.

Well I made the call, and from what I gather, here is a brief rundown of what I was told by Nick ;
- motor came from a car owner that did some street racing and car was hit in rear
- imported about 2 years ago and had about 20,000km ?
- std pistons
- HKS rods
- manifold, turbo, wastegate as you see
- triple plate clutch has quite a bit of meat
- standard inlet manifold
- boost is meant to come on at 3,000rpm as exh housing is 1.0 A/R ratio
After seeing the pics, it was too extreme from me and I managed to secure something else that is better suited to my needs/budget.

as i have a company phone, the cost is not an issue.
if hes not goign to answer questions on the forum, why advertise it here? and why start a new topic when there r questions on his previous one?

Well i say this engine is a hoax i made 468 rwhp and had a lot more done. This engine is still running stock intake manifold and fpr by the look of it and isn't much to look at. Internals everyone can say them have aftermarket pistons and so on. But pictures are proof or receipts.

and supposedly it has stock pistons. ive not seen many donks that can make 3 times the standard power on stock pistons and ISNT used in wars by infantry.
pull the 7M pin and throw it in 10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1 KABOOM

Hey, i don't know the guy either (let's clear that up), but from what was said about 7M motor's, i'd just like to clear a few things up.
The standard plenum will flow enough air comfortably to allow excess of 300rwkw and the same goes for the standard fuel pressure regulator. This is proven too! There's no reason to change something so it looks good on a spec list.
Also, as heard from racers in Victoria (so i wouldn't take it for granted), but i heard some VL turb's over there run standard pistons for some reason. But when 'ping' it'll soon be followed by a 'bang'. Forgies don't make you car faster, just more reliable under uncontrolled conditions.
Don't bag motors if you don't know the 'know how'.

firstly i built my 7m with my bare hands so i do have some of the "know how"
secondly, hes claiming 525 kw @ motor (presuambly) which is way over 300@w.
and the RB series engine isnt a 7m, theres SFA point comparing them.

Dude , don t stress over it , you are barking up the wrong tree here. I was genuinely interested in what he had to sell. I could see the value for money in what he was selling even if the motor needed work. After posting my interest i had a think about it i realised i needed to spend the money elsewhere.( i would need another set of wheels while making use of his parts and more. have just finished my conversion a few months ago and need daily transport). I thought it pointless to ring him if i had a change of heart. I do realise there are people in this forum who prefer to judge others to be fakes and turn the post into something its not intended to be. As i said before , i was interested as stated in the post!
