i'd rather not wait till june

and i can't get to toyospares so i was hoping i could pay someone to come to my place and do it...

i can't imagine it taking more than a hour or two... only a few wires will need to be cut and spliced, everything else is plug in

Shoot Viper_Nipplex a PM as he might be able to help for a fee. He's done a few 4age --> Sprinter wiring, and come to think of it, he's in the process of doing one now.

How far have you gotten, what still needs to be done? Just wiring up the fuseboxes and body loom plug, or complete re-wire?

I know it seems hopeless at some points, but I found that leaving it for a few hours / days and coming back with a fresh mind helped heaps when I did my wiring. I had someone I could ask questions along the way which was also good.

pretty much every wire on the new loom is labeled, a lot is connected, but it's sorting through connecting the old 4ac connections to the new engines looms that i'm struggling with because i really honestly have no clue what im doing... electrics is one thing that has always escaped me no matter how much i listen/read/look at what it is...

Really, all i need is someone to come, cut, splice, solder, connect what ever connections need to be made to get the engine to fire up... because i have everything sitting in the bay, just needing to be connected...

It's an engine into a sprinter. Running one day hopefully. Entire setup has been in a sprinter before and the loom is done to a reasonably good standard (no dodgy twisted connections etc).

All plugs onto the engine line up. Just needs to be spliced into the body eg. ign power, alternator +12V feed to battery, alternator internal reg to sprinter reg output wires etc etc. And it needs an ignitor and coil.

Not a terribly hard job but would probably mess with your head for a while chasing down wires unless you're very familiar with it.

I may be able to do it after Tassie. If it's not already done by then.

Hen

PS, let me know if you don't want any of the above details posted.

[EDIT - First two sentences as requested]

ecu doesn't really matter as it's just one plug from the loom into it... and i know what that plug it is

as henn said, its getting wires spliced into the body... the ign power, alternator, starter motor things, etc etc

henn btw, i found the ignitor and coil in the garage... it did come with the engine luckily enough

i shot of a pm to viper... does anyone know anyone else?

thanks guys

Look for long enough in that garage and I'm sure you'll find yourself a gold plated 86 JDM Trueno with a Formula Atlantic engine.... the amount of stuff that turns up out of it eventually.
