jaycar kit hand controller

this is for all those jaycar kit guru's out there and specifically those who have already built the hand controller kit.
As it was late at night while i was building the kit i missed the little bit in the instructions where it said so solder the DIL pins to the LCD board on the bottom ie not the LCD side of the board. So i've soldered the pins to the pads on the top (LCD side) of the lcd pcb. Bugga, but i noticed in all the pretty pictures that came with it that the pins on the top of the LCD have all been soldered as well, so does it need to be soldered on the top layer and the bottom layer? or will either do?
Cheers for any help

Try it
The PCB will have plated through-holes, so just soldering on the bottom should work fine.

It is very easy, just do it while you're feeling nice and awake
I've built the hand controller, the DFA and IEBC and all work flawlessly.

For adjusting the IEBC and the DFA... you change the duty cycle of the solenoid with the IEBC, and you alter the AFM signal with the DFA.
The DFA is really a bandaid solution imho, the best option is always aftermarket ECU if you ask me. Well, with these old school engines anyway.

No, as Hydra said. It plugs into the Jaycar Electronic Boost controller (IEBC) and the Digital Fuel Adjuster (DFA).

yep basically jaycar have some kits available for cars - the electronic boost controller the digital fuel adjuster both of those kits use another kit called the hand controller which plugs into the fuel adjuster and boost controller and allows you to change the settings.
if you want more info check out www.jaycar.com.au and search for hand controller
Cheers,
PS. i'm about 3/4 way building the boost controller - no more f*ck ups yet! so hopefully the LCD on the hand controller will work!!
