Exhaust gettin quieter everytime i do something else!!!

I started off with just a redback muffler, it was really nice volume, then i did the 2.25" piping, it was SLIGHTLY louder and deeper..
THEN i got some gen 2 3sge extractors, got them installed, the 2-1 pipe had to be made up.. The sound was quite a lot smoother but had reduced in volume quite a lot.
I've got 2.25" piping with a 40-50cm resonator...
The other day, one of the pipes from the extractors cracked from the plate that sits on the exhaust ports. It was terribly loud, I got that fixed today and decided to get a redback straight through muffler, The car isn't even as loud as the original redback muffler..
Now i'm tryin to figure out why my car is soo quiet?
When u do extractors i've heard cars get quite a bit louder...
Now my last option was to just get the piping finished off from the end of the car, so no Muffler... That was the only system that actually sounded a reasonable (it was legal) volume..
My main concern relates to the fact that I am thinking my 2-1 pipe that was made up is restricting the system, these pipes had to be made up as the gen 2 3sge extractors don't bolt up to where my stock manifold bolts up..
Just tryin to figure out why extractors, 2.25" piping, resonator, straight through muffler is not even close to decent loud enough..
Any advice on the topic please?

what diameters are the 2-1's....
and why ar3 you complaining that the car is quiet?

The diameter of the 2-1 pipe is smaller than the extractor pipes themselves. I still have a standard flexpipe. What reason would there be for this decrease in volume so much?
Standard manifold was louder.
With a nearly straight through system, it's slightly louder than a stock exhaust...

HAhAHA..
Sorry but "STOCK quiet" isn't what i'm after.. I've spent a bit on the exhaust, i want it to be louder...
I'm hugely far from the legal limit?
Anymore ideas?

hahahaha that would be quite funny indeed, but stock muffler? hmmm hahaha..
I think its pretty likely to be the 2-1 pipe.
Anyone know how much it might set me back?

hmmmmm i wonder were that pic of the blue extractors came from.... 
mate i'd be getting a nice piece of 2 by 4, make sure its tazzy oak (just has a real nice feel to it) now go to were those guys apparntly "fixed" your extractors, now beat them over the head with the 2 by 4!
it wont fix your problem, but you'l feel a bit better, and yeah get the pipe sizes matched up, then it'l sound like king kong going ape (no pun intended....  )
let us know when you've got it done, i definately gotta hear it man
