I guess this goes out to Kirk or anyone else who has had experience with these turbos. What boost pressure are they set to run at stock? Mine only make 7psi at the plenum, and I don't think I have any leaks. I'm thinking either the wastegates have been fiddled with or one of the turbos is not quite right. I'm leaning towards the former.

Cheers,
Nathan

This from the internet from the Blitz 1995 catalog:

Blitz avante garde! Replace the impeller and compressor air intake side of genuine turbo charger. This simple bolt-on type turbo kit maximizes the performance of your turbo. This is the new Blitz concept of tuning up genuine turbos. The impeller diameter (core component of this bag turbo) is enlarged by 17%, and its precision balance is improved 10 times. The compressor housing is made of new material and specially heat treated to improve durability by 44%.

thats all i know of for any information about them..

Frank just wants to know why his are only producing 7psi with factory wastegates and not 10psi.

EBC is coming, but if the base isn't right, the mods aren't right.

It may just be the wastegates? Maybe the original ones were damaged and replaced with gen1 items.

Could be. That or the wastegates were modified for Gen1 ones to provide a better starting point for an electronic boost controller Razz We shall see, we're just over 50kpa now, I'll drive it a bit more and see if it changes any more, then whack on the IEBC.

Hopefully it's being sent out today, yay! Very Happy
