SW20 MR2 GT Wreck repairable writeoff, damage to boot area. Sat, 04 June 2005 00:06 Go to next message
Couple of weeks ago my MR2 was rear ended. Apparently around the $15000 mark worth of repairs for the quote it had taken at Westside paint and panel.

Firstly after offers for the entire vehicle, pending no interest in it as a whole over the next week or two I'll be starting to part it out and will list parts up here.

Car is a 1990 model MR2 GT, check out http://members.optusnet.com.au/jamescol/accident for pictures of it in its current state.. Was complied in 1999.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Reserve the right to withdraw the entire vehicle from sale, will be looking around for another MR2, and if I find one I may keep some bits and pieces for spares.

Also, if your after any bits and pieces in general list them here, if she is parted out (more probable then the entire vehicle being sold) then I'll see if the parts you require will be available.

Thanks guys.

Gen 2 3S-GTE, 117000 km.

Located at Ipswich, bout 30min drive west of Brisbane.

Engine still runs, charged batt up today (went flat due to the boot light being left on for the last 2 weeks) and cranked her over. Could almost drive it if the rear right wheel arch hasn't collapsed onto the wheel Very Happy Was a small pool of liquid sitting on top of the transaxle but I wasn't able to distinguish what it was without a torch.

pulsar is what hit me, got a guy coming with offer of $3500 today to see the car.. will probably accept that.

Pics @ http://members.optusnet.com.au/totencole/mr2pics.z ip

alot of the car before the prang in there as well.

If you can get back to me before this other guy comes perhaps we could work something out. His offer was $3500 though so you'd have to beat that.

He'll be coming in the next hour or so though.

In other news, the car is now movable, the space saver fits inside the obstruction but only by a couple of cm. so if you hit any big bumps at speed you'd more then likely rip the space saver to threads. More of a 'it can be shifted' type deal.

Yeah mate, had a few others interested in paying more, and had about 12-13 people in total interested in the car, but basically I said if I got $3500 I'd sell. Even though there were higher offers he offered $3500 and could get out here soonest. Im not a greedy man and don't believe in raising the price you've set as your instant. (Price when i bought the car went up $500 from advertised price because someone offered a higher amount, how often do you go to buy a car and pay more then what it was advertised for, haha)
