Buy one of those alloy radiator overflow bottles. I've seen this in a few cars now and it looks pretty trick.

why not relocate it to the inner guards, that way its outta the engine bay. inner guards are goodfor stuff like that. asher bottles, overflow tank, carbon canister etc.

Cool1 :
your idea is a good one, and i had considered that, but the problem is the depth of these overflow bottles, thats my real issue here.
EVOSTi :
Thats a even better idea, i just hope i got enough holes to poke all the crap through now lol.
Thanks for the help guys

ive been told that a particular lazer (KA cant quite remember) under the guard style bottle fits quite well with little mods. someone in brizzy with a maroon ra28. I was talking to his dad who works in an importer down the coast. japstang i think his login is here? or maybe that is performanceforums.
i have also been told that a silvia one will fit. but dont know of the truth or if it saves space.

the aw11 one is nice and small. it is short and long so it dosent take up heaps of vertical space so id imagine you could fit it in the guard with a bit of work. ill grab a pic for you when i get home.

can you get a washer bottle made up in metal? more like a washer box really.. this would be good because you could get it made to size and mount it anywhere. not sure if washer bottles have to be see through though? i dunno just a suggestion.

coudnt see why not. most washer bottles you cant see into anyway. yuo can only see the neck sitting up and the rest is tucked away somewhere. i remember my celica you could only see the neck and it had a float in it so you could see how full it was.

the s13 silvia washer bottle has a neck like, half a meter long, and the actual tank sits just behind the bumper.

AE80 corrolas have a long neck and the main bulge that houses the water sits under the engine bay. they sit directly under where the battery would be on a ra23/28/40 celica (driver side). probly wouldnt be any probs with putting it on the other side

try a mazda cappella or 808 they have possibly the smallest washer bottle that i have seen, easy to remove from the donour car and small enough to fit in most places, plus being so old they are cheap, paint it with wrinkle finish paint and you re set.

on this topic - how would the washer pump be fitted? use the new washer bottle one and splice it into toyota wiring? I'm assuming we're not gonna try and hook the big bastard toyota washer pump up to a teensy little washer bottle?

I was just gonna splice another pump into the bottle, basically the pump i have all need be done to install is drill a 3/4 inch hole and insert the pump with gromet, and its already wired into toyota loom. It will prob drain the bottle in about 2 seconds but hey aslong as its there and works, it keeps my car from getting a defect. Though i am really thinking about moving battery to the boot and just locating a slim washer bottle i got in the position behind the headlight on passenger side
