Had enough of the white 1/4 panel so while I was painting my cam covers today I gave it a quick spray over with some red engine enamel, but I did it quickly and got some overspray on my parker and headlight and fusebox.
I was just wondering what would be the best way to get it off without damaging the clear plastic or leaving scratches behind?
I also just looked at my door, and there is a fair bit of overspray that has gone onto it and it stands out heaps cause its a different red. Is there anything I can do to get this off, without damaging the good paint underneath?

Thanks heaps.

you might find thinners on a rag can damage the plastic. being enamel by memory wax and grease remover (prepsol) will desolve enamel and it wont damage plastics. same goes for the paint on your door.
just remember to polish that area of paint after you have cleaned it off.

Get a clay bar from a paint supplier.

Not sure about removing paint from paint, but it should take the overspray from the plastic bits OK.

You have to be REALLY careful when using a clay bar on paint. You can very easily scratch the crap out of it!

I think feral4mr2 hit it on the head when he said use prepsol on the enamel paint. I use enamel at work often and find that prepsol is the best to get it off with, just becuase your chances of fucking anything else that isnt enamel is very unlikely. But remember dont touch the enamel parts you want to keep painted with the prepsol as it will leave you with the option of rubbing it back and painting it again. Same goes for cutters
