you might find thinners on a rag can damage the plastic. being enamel by memory wax and grease remover (prepsol) will desolve enamel and it wont damage plastics. same goes for the paint on your door.
just remember to polish that area of paint after you have cleaned it off.

Not sure about removing paint from paint, but it should take the overspray from the plastic bits OK.
You have to be REALLY careful when using a clay bar on paint. You can very easily scratch the crap out of it!

I think feral4mr2 hit it on the head when he said use prepsol on the enamel paint. I use enamel at work often and find that prepsol is the best to get it off with, just becuase your chances of fucking anything else that isnt enamel is very unlikely. But remember dont touch the enamel parts you want to keep painted with the prepsol as it will leave you with the option of rubbing it back and painting it again. Same goes for cutters

if i had paint on my parkers/light i'd just get my 1200 and wet sand it lightly, happenened when i sprayed undercoat on my lights.
