where to find rod dimensions? Mon, 06 June 2005 10:34 Go to next message
im after everything. big and little end i.d's aswell as thickness, and also length ofcourse.

is there somewhere i can look to find dimensions of OE rods? mostly after honda and mitsu' dimesnions (just because thats where ive been told to look).

You wont find everything.You'll find B/E & L/E dims. in engine bearing catalogues. Lengths can often be found in workshop manuals. I've never seen any recorded referance to thickness,EVER. You would need to find rods yourself to compare. Reckon you'll find Honda the one that's used. Wink

Would you please tell me what is "NOT TRUE" about my reply to Slydar.Your post verifys what I answered but adds,"IT'S ALL AVAILABLE", so am I correct that your "NOT TRUE" reference only refers to me saying I have never seen o.e.m.reference to rod thickness. If so could I ask if you would be good enough to tell me where to get this o.e. info from as I, in spite of looking, have never found it & you obviously have.

huh?

what im saying is that ALL manufacturing data on rod dimensions, weight, materials etc etc is available... both oem and aftermarket.

just hav to look

if interested search these forums, eng-tips forums, p forums, google etc etc etc...

it aint that hard
