im sure heaps of people must have this, as it was the same with my ae82 twincam and my new gt4,

they leave big patches of black soot on the driveway from starting them up in the mornings? does any1 else ahve this happening?

what is causing it?

Condensation mixing with carbon in the exhaust.

Could be that or it could be coal deposits if he is running a steam engine Laughing

is it particularly bad? can it be stopped?
i dont see it happening on other cars?

e.g. couldnt this stuff be clogging up ur catalytic converter?

Yes. Keep your exhaust pipe nice and warm at all times to prevent condensation forming on the inside of it. Perhaps light a small fire under your car each night to keep the exhaust pipe warm.

True. Some cars don't appear to do it, but from my observations they are cars that rarely if ever see WOT or are in warmer climates.
