DB416 brake pads instead of DB288 Wed, 08 June 2005 00:16 Go to next message
Hi all, am in need of a new set of brake pads for my landcruiser/peugot brake upgrade on the Celica.

Yes yes have the landcruiser calipers, not the normal hilux ones.

Landcruiser calipers use DB288 pad, but only come in 4WD, metal or standard.

I have heard that DB416 (series 4 rx7) pads are a close fit with small modification. These you can get in Ultimate.

Here is a pic of each one.

So has anyone else tried this?

Cheers
Joel

looks the goods... can you get a p/copy of them from a brake shop and do the cutout thing?
differences in thickness?

there are some early fiat? pads that fit into early corollas with a little massaging too.. well worth a try... esp sicne the RX7 come in a 'slightly' larger range of pads Wink
