well it's have to get engineered cos it has more than 25% more power than the stock 22re and also has a displacement which is outside the 15% bracket of difference.
ok cheers. but do i know if i will be able to find a 3tgte made in 1986. i would do a 1g conversion but it is a lil bit to pricey and i have fallen in love with the gt-t coronas
engineering is required because car wasnt released here (this is why import silvias ect need engineers cert when imported) i think you will be able to use any 3tgte as they are a series of motor produced until 87'. they wouldnt stop you putting a 86' model 4age in a 89' rolla would they? cost is prohibitive if you get someone else to do work. but my GF 2s corona will end up with my old 3tgte soon i think.(unless i find another ta22 for her)
