Those scans are genuine. Roger was defintely used for marketing purposes for the last RWD Corona in Japan only. I have a Wheels mag from 1983 that mentions it too.
Many celebreties have been used for selling cars and other stuff in Japan. For example, Bruce Willis has been used for the Subaru Legacies.
