oil temp gauge sender - 4ag(z)e Thu, 09 June 2005 03:27 Go to next message
hey guys

trying to install an oil temp gauge. I believe it is electric and has the brass fitting to tap in somewhere

but my question is, this requires a custom fitting directly to oil i would assume?

it doesn't screw into the block/usable on the oil pressure sender?

any help would be appreciated

Couple of ways to do it.

Tap into the sump (requires you to remove sump PITA)

You can also get little sump plug screws that have a hollow centre that you screw the probe into. Greddy make them, not sure if they are the same thread as what you have.

Alternativly if you have an oil cooler or remote mount oil filter they can also plum in there, with the correct fitting.
