the ct 12 turbos are off a twin turbo 1jz and the ct 20 is off a 3tgte. the ct 20 is larger than the ct 12 and then the ct 26 off the 3sgte is larger than both. if u were to use a ct12 and bolt it onto a ct20 flage then you would be downgrading, unless your using the manifold for a different purpose. simply put, the larger the number, the larger the turbo.

to be exact the ct20 is an old turbo, off the 3tgte i think
the "ct20b" like on the st205 is completly differnt. and an upgrade over the ct26
no, they are not interchangable

Is the CT20B the turbo with no markings but a simlilar size to the CT26? i was told the CT20b has ceramic turbine wheel and the CT26 has steel is this right?

no the other way around. the "ct20b" is the steel one
the "ct20b" is an internet term its not on the turbo, nor is it used by toyota any where.
