Hi ... can someone please fill me in on the difference between an RA40 and an RA42? I'm sure I could probably figure it out if I look elsewhere but searching on here hasn't helped much. I know it's primarily due the North America vs. Australia factor, but I used to have an RA42, everyone here is talking about RA40's... and so far I haven't been paying enough attention to figure out what's stock and what's not. Search RA40 and everyone is talking about motor swaps and such. What does a stock RA40 consist of? Hatchback? 18R-C? 18R-G?
My RA42 was a coupe with 20R and 5-speed manual... wish I could have finished that car off - my only 'mod' was to install a '79 Supra rear for 4-wheel disc brakes... it could have been fun... but circumstances prevented me from doing anything with it.
Thanks,
Kevin

RA40 is the australian version, it comes in 4 main models
- LT liftback, 18R-C
- LT coupe, 18R-C (this is the one i got. but i got the 18rg)
- GT liftback, 18R-G
- GT coupe, 18R-G. im not sure these even exist , coupe's are rarer than liftback anyway
GT's are pretty rare also
