Multiple versions of same thread

Hi guys,
As discussed earlier the site slows down like crazy (I'm on cable but that doesn't help) because when someone clicks mark all as read and there are say 68,000 posts it will create 68,000 entries per user.
Well this was happening because I kept clicking a thread and it wouldn't open. I waited about 15 minutes and then the thread I clicked (lancer thread in the outhouse) opened. When I view the outhouse topics however I get 7 identical lancer threads in there. This has happened before on previous threads.
I don't really mind but if it's something that's slowing the site down I thought you guys might want to take a look at it.
Cheers,
Thu

Yeh I get the same thing, I was wondering why. Fortunately I only got a few doubled up.

I've seen this a couple of times. I haven't seen it in the last 3 months or so though.
We're working on moving to a different database that should get rid of this issue.

Just happened to me. I've got duplicates of every single thread.

RE: Duplicates.
I've never seen this happen. But I do agree the site slows down now and again.
