ST184 Celica ECU questions...? Tue, 14 June 2005 12:15 Go to next message
Hi, I was just wondering, I think there might be something wrong with my ECU, and my mechanice has confirmed it...just little things...It's a 3S-FE engine...not the 5S-FE that's usually in there...and I was just wondering if a 5S-FE ECU would be okay...? Or would I definately have to use a 3S-FE ECU...? Any other ECU's that I can use...? It's just that 3S-FE ECU'S aren't too easy to find, and I guess I was thinking that maybe the 5S-FE may provide a better tune for the car anyway...? But yeah...hopefully someone can help...thanks.

what makes u think a 5sfe ecu will have a better tune

toyota spends thousands of hours gettin the tune correct for every engine

why does yr mechanic think yr ecu is faulty

best get a 2nd opinion

if there should be a 5sfe in there why is there a 3sfe

maybe yr car is a bitsa
