Hi,
What order are the primary's susposed to be. Bill Sherwoods page says that a 4 cylinders should be #1 and #4, #2 and #3. thats 1&4 and 2&3. Every picture i look at has them 1&3 and 2&4.
Which way should it be?
Obviously not 1&2 and 3&4.

4-2-1 or 4-1?
4-1 the primaries should join in order of firing order
4-2-1 pipes 1 and 4 should join, pipes 2 and 3 should join, then the two secondaries join further down the road.

Depends on firing order ?
Generally you'll find on most 4A and 3S headers it'll be #1 and #4 are joined, and #2 and #3 are joined - then they both join further down.

| Wouldn't that still necessitate 1 & 4 being joined, and 2 & 3 being joined? (for 4-2-1 style).
Actually, i'm 90% sure it's not even possible to design a crank that would be balanced and have a firing order that would require 1 & 2 being joined and 3 & 4 being joined... (for an inline-4 that is)
