Hey everyone. Not long ago I installed a davies craig thermo fan in my GZ20. I used a bosch relay and a davies craig mechanical thermo switch. But due to my lack of auto electrics we just wired both the poisitives straight onto the battery so the thing can turn on all the time. Now while this may be good to prevent heat soak and all, it pisses me off when i'm in a rush and my car alarm goes ue to the fan spinning over. I guess this problem may be solved by the time i finally get a turbo timer but i was thinking i should still try and wire the positive goint to the thermal switch onto the accessories of ignition power.
So i guess my question is where is the best place to find power to the thermal switch?
Thanks guys

ok thats fair enough to say the fuse box. But...... could you be a littl more descriptive. Where do i bodge power off in my soarers fuse box? I am relativly new to auto electics and just saying fuse box isnt exteemly helpful.

Something that has +12V with the key "ON" but not with the key in "ACC" or "OFF"

Yeah, thats just for the trigger wire to the relay.
The Power wire just goes straight to the battery, through a fuse.

thats correct. Just the trigger wire. Currently the trigger wire is right off the battery so it can go off when ever. Can anyone give me an exact location in the fuse box to poke around. If not i'll just have a go.
Thanks guys.

It's not that hard.
Test all the fuses with the ignition OFF, the ones with power scratch them out. Next turn the ign to ACC once again scratch the ones out that light up. Next turn the ign to ON and check the remainders, and find you output.
You can even use an automotive test light, shouldnt take more than 2 minutes.

ohh, so i should be looking at the fuse box in the kick pannel in the car, or the fuse box in the engine bay. I'm guessing the engine bay.
