as you all might know my missus is planning a conversion in her KE20. just wondering if the 2tg conversion was cheap and worth it. she doesnt want a drag car or a drift car, just something with a lil more punch than the 3k. if anyone has any info it would be much appreciated, especially if you knew costs involved.

they are not too bad, sound cool with twin carbs, would make a great little car, can't help you with costs but it should be pretty cheap if you can get the motor at the right price

2T-GEU is a pretty good little engine for 1.6L, not the fastest thing out there, but certainly not slow. Would rev alot more freely than the 3K. All depends on how much it costs you...

i just sold my 2tg/3t hybrid for $350, including extractors.
look around and youll find an awesome deal.
and if your looking for more "punch" than a 3k, just wind up a rubber band and let it go

2TG in a ke20 is fairly easy conversion well worth the difference over a 3k. Does make the car alittle front heavy and works better if you can widen the track front and rear.

For a simple engine swap how about a 5k. Its a bolt-in swap, same gearbox, same engine mounts etc.
I'm not sure about a ke20 but the 2t-g that i bought from an old mate was in his ke30 that was sitting on the standard engine mounts but the only thing was that it sat off centre to the right.
