Anyone know of any cars that came with decent auto coolers? I'm doing the 1JZ on a bit of a budget.
Thanks for your help.

Go to any old wrecking yard and look for a Falcon with a towbar... there's a good chance it will have a fairly big trans cooler on it.

Just get your radiator tank modded. Probably wouldn't cost more than 40-50 bucks.

That will work, but it's nowhere near as effective. I'd recommend a proper trans cooler - it will greatly increase the life expectancy of your transmission, especially if you're hard on it.

Get a proper trans cooler...When our conversion was done, the first thing I did was to buy two transmission coolers, 1 V8 cooler (KJ engineering, I think) for the transmission, which runs in series with the original radiator cooler, using the radiator's one as a "pre-cooler", and a 2nd one, (4-cyl Autopro unit), which is used to cool the power-steering fluid.
You can almost never be "too cool", when it comes to transmissions...

I'm gonna go the falcon cooler option, I think. If they don't seem up to the task, I'll deal with it later on, and just take it easy.
