Check for shaft play etc.. It all should sit in there pretty tight, but the turbine should spin freely if you push it with your fingers

" Yes basically, what are the main things to look out for when buying a front cut, specifically a ae101gze. Any places to avoid buying from or any places you'd reccomend buying from? Please, as many details as you can possibly think of"

-Make sure EVERYTHING is there, check check and check again as it's a real pain in the arse if it's not.
-Take a screw driver (medium philips) and remove the screw holding the plastic cover above the dash cluster to see if it "cracks" like it's never been opened, this is about the only way you'll spot if the km's have been wound back, which many have.
-If there's panel damage that has caused any caving in of the engine bay structure I wouldn't buy it, but if you must check that all the components in the damaged area are OK
-Ask them to run the engine. It's not hard for most of these guys as they have batteries all over the place and some have a fuel pump and small tank rigged up on a trolley ready to go. If they can't run it at least have them crank the engine over to see that it's not seized
-Most will warrant the engine but only for a short period of time i.e. usually a month which they say is enough time to get the engine in and make sure it's all OK so don't buy the thing then let it sit in your yard for three months before you fit it, but when you're ready to start. Some will warrant the engine for "one month once it's fitted" thats a little better.

1.) SSS Automotive (02) 98966111 @ 5/120 Gilba Rd, Girraween - Very expensive and they'll try to sell you an "engine package rather than a front cut - not my cup O tea. www.sssautomotive.com.au/

2.) Ichiban Performance Engines (02) 96007066 @ 13 Cunningham Street, Morebank - Good prices and service but rarely get front cuts, www.ichiban.com.au - I'd most certainly recommend the if they have a front cut

3.) National Truck Spares (02) 95992300 @ Arncliffe - Cheapest prices in Sydney the guy is just an arrongant prick (No John.D doesn't run this business ), but always has plenty of front cuts - I'd recommend them but expect sh1t service right from the start and you won't be disappointed - call before you go there and MAKE SURE they have what you want and it's not "sitting in a container waiting to be unloaded" - when I got my 20V cut from them I rang and they said yep we're emptying that container as we speak so I drove down to phucking arncliffe and it wasn't done and the prick just said "Not my problem you'll have to come back another time, @#%$ happens", not just that but it took them another 8 days to unload it.

4.) The Toy Shop Automotive Imports (02) 49537277 @ Unit 3/8 Nelson Rd, Cardiff (Newcastle) - a bit expensive and rarely gets front cuts - www.japimports.com.au

5.) Just Jap (02) 95450532 @ 101 Bath Rd, Kirrawee - no website but email = justjap@attglobal.net

6.) Jap Performance (02) 96016715 @ 6 Kelso Cres, Morebank - www.japperformance.com.au - Recently had a MAP AE92 front cut for around $2200???

7.) Aivi Wreckers (02) 97084077 @ 39 Beresford Rd Greenacre. Gets front cuts off and on but prices, while not the cheapest, are reasonable.

8.) (02) 97212855 @ 93 Woodpark Rd Smithfield
