1948 anglia panel van hot rod - brisbane Thu, 23 June 2005 06:42 Go to next message
Ok it's time for my hot rod to go, I want my shed back.

This car would suit some one with reasonable welding, panelbeating and mechanical skills.

The car comes with:

Body shell
Doors front and rear
Guards front and rear
Dashboard
Headlights
Windscreen surround
Grille
Bonnet
350 chev
turbo 350 gearbox
Partially rodded chassis with an lj torana front end (no rear end setup yet)

These cars had wooden floors and vynl roof centres from the factory that are long gone now. There are a few parts in the photos that dont come with the car as they are from my other cars.

You could easily fit a toyota motor for something different.
I am looking for $2500 for it.
If you want any more details I can be contacted at escort_freak_au@yahoo.com or 0433 151 040
Cheers.
Dave.

Cheers Nathan, I like to hear from people who actually understand the value of something like this.

For any one like bozza that cant understand it being worth that much a car like this finished would easily be worth between $35-40 THOUSAND finished. To get it to a finished stage would cost around $10-15k depending on the spec it was built to. You would need to be able to do most of the work though.

There is a very similar car I know of for sale right now at 9k that has not motor or box, but the rear end is set up so I think mine is very reasonably priced. The other ones body is in basically the same condition.

Here's a couple of pics of finished ones:

With any car like this the vans are always really rare as they got treated like crud when they were new as they were delivery hacks, there were never many made either so they are very hard to come by.
Cheers.
Dave.
